The other day we went to the mall to get slippers and ice cream for Aiyana. On a whim we ventured into the pet store thinking that Aiyana might like a goldfish, since we STILL can't get a dog. None of us have ever been a bird person, in fact, I use to hate when family friends asked us to watch their parakeets because those things were so loud. But we fell in love this eclectus parrot and brought her home. Her name is Jewel and she is so smart and cute. She's likes to investigate everything, just like a kid. Ali already has a list of words that he's teaching her.
